Here I will post tips, tricks, and tidbits of information that I come across on anything Gran Turismo 5.
Making Credits- With the new seasonal events, and new payout levels on and off line, it is far easier to make credits in the world of GT5 than it was a few months ago. Still, if you need to find a few extra credits, here are some ideas.
- Run endurance races at night or while at work or school. Anytime you can afford to leave your Ps3 on for a few hours while you are not around is a great time to run some races that do not require your attention.
- If you can't do that, make sure to share as many bspec drivers as you can. Not only will they get run in random remote races by other people, but you may find you know someone with a bspec grinder that will run your drivers for you, giving you (potentially) millions of credits per night.
Breaking in cars: First off, all premium cars can get an initial boost in HP just by performing a 250cr oil change. Do this with all premium cars. For standard versions, I perform engine rebuilds and chassis rebiulds as soon as I buy them.
It takes approximately 180 miles to fully break in a new car's engine. This gives you between a 5%-15% increase in HP and Torque (amount varies by car).
I tend to run the Laguna Seca endurance (182 miles) at night with cars I want broken in, or the Dream Car Championship in B-spec (226 miles and 1 million -2 million credits) with brand new race cars over 650PP. Once the mileage is reached, a simple Engine rebuild will have you on your way.
