Let's start 2012 off with a BANG with a 6 hour endurance race. I will be hosting in an open lobby on Sunday January 1st at 11am CST, I just haven't 100% decided the car/cars we will be using. Please reply here or via playstation message to RCS_Carts43 if you are interested.
Right now, I am thinking of a one make race of either the Lexus IS-F racing concept, (493hp 1350kg)or the Zonda R (473hp and 1100kg), but I am open to some suggestions. I do want to make this an all premium race, and would be open to matching up some RM's or TC's
For the Track, it will be one of the real-world tracks with (at least) weather change. So, Spa, Nurburgring, Suzuka, Monza, Sarthe 2009.
To go with the potential HUGE payout, I will put up a lv 21 prize ticket up for the winner, as well as paint and gear.
Sign up here, and tell friends! I want to get 16 people who will stay for the whole race, and can handle running 6 hours on simulator settings.
(Full damage, low draft, real edge of track grip, no boost, no aids)

If I don't have anything going on, I'm down. That would be an epic race. It would take forever just to download the replay, which will be a must. Hope there is a good turn out!!

6 hours is too much for me. Sorry.

So my leading contender right now is the Mitsubishi lancer Evo X touring car, unmodified on racing tires. For the track I'm leaning towards Sarthe 24h.

Sarthe will be the course, so tell your friends that can handle the race and I hope to see a lot of people there for the long haul! I am thinking the payout for first should be 5 million plus credits... (depending on the turnout).

It has been finalized with some testing done by RCS_Forddriver, and myself, we will run the UNMODIFIED Mitsubishi Lancer X TC, 80 Laps on Sarthe 2009 weather/Time Change, Weather will be turned to 'off', and time progression will be set to 4 (so we should get a full 24 hours of time change. I hope to see you a full room!
So far (without a formal signup) It sounds like we will have at least 6, but I am hopin for 10. I know this is a seriously long race, but I think it will be a good time to hang out and drive and get paid (in game) handsomely to do so. Even if someone shows up and only runs a few laps per hour, they are more than welcome.

Granddriver did take the win by 30 seconds over Barn_One. I thought the race went really well, and was way more intense than I thought it would be! With the win, Grand wins a lv 24 prize car ticket, along with the 4.2 million dollar payout!
I am glad the 9 of us came out... we finished with 8 (DeyHateOnMe was disconnected 25 laps in in 6th place)

i guess it really is possible if everyone has a decent router or w/e that you could host a 24 hr endurance race and stay connected as long as someone didn't lose power to their house and gt5 or playstation network wasn't doing some kind of maintanence ya know....are we gonna go for 8 hrs this time LOL
