Since a lot of the leagues we have running are coming to an end, I was thinking of what to run next. I know we have had discussions on how people can 'overtune' for a league, and try to gain an advantage. Well, I was thinking that if the people of the RCS community can be trusted, we can get around this little inconvenience.
I propose, for our next league, for all the cars be set up and sent out by me, with specific horsepower, weight, and part specs, and sent out to all that race in the league. Individual Tuning will be allowed to the body kit, as well as adjustments to ballast, suspension, Transmission and brake balance, but the overall parts, and engine "de-tuning" will be prohibited.
I realize that this cannot actively be enforced, but I think (and sincerely hope) that I would be able to trust the people I race with on an almost everyday basis.
Here is a list of cars I was thinking about for some one make leagues. (I am open to a multi-car league, however it would take more set-up and prep time)
Nissan 370Z BMW Z4 Dodge Viper ACR Ferrari 430 Scuderia Fiat 500 '08 (it could be fun) Ford Mustang Ford GT Mercedes SLS Mini Cooper S '11 RUF RGT
Also, any of the TC/RM cars would be easy, and be customizable with your own number.

Why not picking a car/car's that are maxed out in HP/Weight then no matter what, no one can have an advantage at all, it will strictly be tuning and driver. Yes i know that you probably dont want to just max a car out, but with the reg we have to limit cars. I cant think of any other way that will 100% make sure no one has any hp/weight advantages over each other. It's that or you race only bone stock cars, tuning is 100% disallowed.

You are right. I don't want to max a car out. So I'll only allow people in this that I feel I can trust to race with some honor

Run rooms with no engine mods but tune the rest of the car. Put the room on horsepower/weight. Get everyone on the track, switch the race to performance points. If anyone detuned their car it will have more torque resulting in higher performance points, disqualifying them! This would keep the races more controlled.

ur idea is good grand but aeryo and weight also affects performance points so just to add to ur idea u would have to have the cars tuning prohibited to control the aeryo and weight on everyones car....it will keep the torque increase controlled but in order control the pp u have to have another constant, prohibit tuning...so either everyone runs a tuned car with no aeryo or everyone has to take all the parts off their car get on track to check regs. and then go back in and retune their vehicle with the hp/kg regs...lots of work that way...i think polohphony digital needs to make some more restrictions..i liked barns idea, where they make four categories...for the lobbies, practice is anything goes, drifting is almost anything goes race for real would be either all stock or all fully tuned, and race for fun< well thats just lame but they could also integrate...other (prohibiting) y prohibit all tuning y not just prohibit certain stages of parts ...i hate but love this game at the same time.....anyways i believe a bmw or a ford mustang would be fun one make races through several different courses. one course a week, making it an endurance stock car race...paint it and race it...and make the whole season revolve around that one car....
Before you butcher the English language anymore, it's aero. Two we prohibit the HP and Weight of the cars and then PP check them. If they have a stage 3 turbo when your only suppose to have a stage 1. They will have more torque and wont be with in regulations of the PP. So no there is no way of getting around that. Unless they lower there aero witch then they will most likely be at a disadvantage in the corners.

I have an idea we can all use 90s jap cars like skyline R32,R33,Rx-7,Supra,Nsx. Cars the meet or are close to the old "Gentlemen Agreement" which had jap cars restricted to 276hp. For the weight what we do is find the average weight for each car and set that as the restriction. Engine tuning would be restricted but everything else would be allowed such as drivetrain, suspension, and transmission tuning. Also since different cars sometime run different amount of aerodynamics we would restrict it to either none or the minimum which is 5 for each car. Ive been wanting to do this for a while if you guys have any ideas let me know.
